Dutch Masters, New and Old
June 10, 11, 12, 2016
Our season concludes with a set of a cappella compositions from the Netherlands, featuring the brilliant counterpoint of Renaissance master Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck. The concert will also include a survey of more recent Dutch compositions, including a late-Romantic Stabat Mater by Alphons Diepenbrock and 20th-century works by Henk Badings and Jurriaan Andriessen.
There will be a pre-concert lecture by Sanford Dole thirty minutes before each performance.
Read the program notes by artistic director Sanford Dole.
