Concluding our Season of “Discoveries and Classics”
Our American Heritage
June 7, 8, 9
Our June concert will be great fun as BCG tours American music, from Colonial days to the present. Accompanied by Tim Getz, BCG’s wonderful accompanist, on virtuoso piano, we’ll spotlight the best music from our cultural history! In the first half we’ll sing works from the 18th to the 21st centuries by composers working in the “classical” tradition. After intermission, we’ll let our hair down and perform hits from a wide variety of American popular genres, including Broadway musicals, movie scores, jazz standards and spirituals. Join us for a wonderful concert of music by Billings, Barber, Berlin and much more!
